Welcome to LibreReader, operated by Libre Languages, LLC ("Libre Languages", "we", "us", or "our"). By using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must be at least 13 years old to use the platform.
You retain ownership of content you import or create on the platform. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you import. You may not use the platform for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.
LibreReader uses artificial intelligence and automated systems to provide features such as translations, word and phrase explanations, AI chat and speaking practice, optical character recognition, and text-to-speech. AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a particular purpose, and is provided for language-learning purposes only — it is not professional, legal, medical, or financial advice. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it. How we handle the content you submit to these features is described in our Privacy Policy.
We respect intellectual property rights and respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). You are solely responsible for the content you import, upload, scan, or create, and you represent that you have the rights necessary to use it. If you believe content on LibreReader infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our Designated Copyright Agent that includes: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (3) identification of the material you want removed and enough detail to locate it; (4) your contact information; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (6) a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on its behalf. We will remove or disable access to infringing material, notify the affected user, and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you may submit a counter-notice to the same agent.

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Please read this section carefully — it affects your legal rights. You and Libre Languages agree to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the platform through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring qualifying claims in small-claims court. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and Libre Languages waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in any class, collective, consolidated, or representative action; disputes may be brought only in an individual capacity. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing legal@librelanguages.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms; opting out will not affect any other part of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the arbitration section above, any disputes not subject to arbitration will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
